NORTHSTAR BANK OF TEXAS
Although the name NORTHSTAR BANK OF TEXAS has only been around since 1999, this bank with assets approaching $800 million at the end of 2009 is over 36 years old. It was originally established in 1973 as Lake Cities State Bank. Eventually, it grew to two locations, with assets of $39 million by the end of 1998. In 1999, under the direction of Tony R. Clark, President/CEO and Rob Gentry, Chairman of the Board, the name was changed and the headquarters moved from Lake Dallas to Denton, TX in 2001, and the rest is history.
NORTHSTAR BANK has approximately 180 employees. The President/CEO and management strives, to promote a fun and family-oriented work atmosphere, where the employee's jobs are rewarding and they feel appreciated for a job well done. The employees are proud to be a part of NORTHSTAR BANK and have a passion for their bank, work family, their community, customers and their jobs. The employees are definitely the key to the bank's success. They were recently named by Texas Magazine as #5 of the Best Companies to Work For in Texas (in the mid-size range).
NORTHSTAR continues to focus on providing exceptional service and investing in top-notch employees who are trained to provide a working relationship and a personalized-style of banking.
