Argyle, Texas came to life in 1881 when the Texas & Pacific Railway added a stop at the base of Hickory Hill. Incorporated in 1963, Argyle has become a community known for its beautiful rural setting with a small-town lifestyle. The Town of Argyle truly offers the best of both worlds with the benefits of a quiet, small community atmosphere, along with the convenience of close proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Argyle’s excellent location within the Golden Triangle region, with Denton to the North, Fort Worth to the West, and Dallas to the East provides a great place to live and work.

Known for its beautiful wooded lots and gently rolling hills, Argyle’s housing ranges from modest frame homes on small lots to expansive custom homes on multiple acres. Situated within one of the largest concentrations of horse farms in the United States, it is quite common to drive past frolicking horses or to see cattle or horses grazing peacefully. Most available lots are 1-2 acres, with many in the 5-10 or more acres suitable for farming or ranching.
