Boards and Committees
The Argyle Chamber of Commerce operates primarily through dedicated volunteers who generously invest their time and money to improve their community. The work of the Argyle Chamber of Commerce would not be possible without its many volunteers.
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Chamber and meets at least monthly to discuss policy, finances, activities, and the overall responsibilities of the organization. The Board is composed of ten members, six of whom hold executive office positions. In addition to the Board of Directors and Office Manager, non-voting liaisons are invited to attend the Board of Directors meetings each month and include representatives from the Town of Argyle, Argyle ISD, Liberty Christian School, and Communities Civic League.
The Chamber invites and encourages all members to take an active role in the Argyle Chamber of Commerce by serving on at least one committee during the year. There are seven standing committees that work toward specific goals and help the Chamber continue to provide quality leadership and fun, productive activities for everyone. The Chamber also sponsors several Special Events throughout the year that require special committees to plan, organize, and distribute the workload. Chamber members who get involved are the ones who benefit the most from the Chamber!
